The aim of the foundation is first of all
- to promote communication between Antilleans, Arubans and the Dutch people;
- the promotion of integration of Antilleans and Arubans in the Dutch society;
- to improve the social and economic wellbeing of Antilleans and Arubans, in the Netherlands as well as in the Netherlands Antilles and in Aruba;
- to encourage a positive self-image of Antilleans and Arubans;
- to offer concrete and tangible material assistance in order to combat poverty among Antilleans and Arubans, hereafter called the target group. Moreover it is not only a matter of assistance to individuals but also of assistance to institutions, such as healthcare institutions, schools, children’s homes, institutions for the care of addicts, etc.
One example of material assistance could be: to collect wheelchairs for the care of the handicapped in nursing homes, beds, clothing for children’s homes, tables, chairs, school materials for educational institutions. This list is not restrictive but serves to show the direction to which thought is given.

Secondly, the foundation wants to contribute substantially to the creation (and maintenance) of opportunities for the target group in the case of schooling, (job) instruction and workmanship, participation in the labour process , useful time spending, civic orientation, information and such. The goal is that the activities mentioned should be effected both in the Netherlands as in the country of origin and should result that members of the target group in the Netherlands are offered a fairer chance for vertical mobilisation than up to now has been the case. The foundation hopes that through its activities it can motivate the members of the target group to invest in their own country and possibly find their future there. The foundation is also willing to create possibilities to that end. For those who wish to remain in Holland, the foundation sees it as its aim to also, as far as necessary and possible, to improve the situation in which they live. The effects of its activities should have a positive effect both here in the Netherlands as in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. That is why the foundation aims to initiate projects itself, and when deemed necessary managed by themselves, or in cooperation with networking partners in the Netherlands and the Antilles and Aruba and as also to be supportive. All of this should promote the social and economic wellbeing of the target group.

In the third place the foundation hopes, as a result of the above, to make a contribution to the strengthening of a positive self image of the target group and of its capabilities.
